I am so excited to share with you the card that I created for the August Color Challenge for two reasons! First of all, I just love these colors and I think they look awesome together! The colors this month are Polished Pink, Daffodil Delight, and Coastal Cabana. The second reason is because I get to share the Hippest Hippos stamp set and the adorable Hippo dies with you. These hippos are just too cute and they are part of Sale-A-Bration which means you can earn them for FREE! For every $50 you spend, you can get either the stamp set or the dies for FREE. Spend $100 and get both FREE! If hippos aren’t your thing, be sure to check out the other stunning products you can earn through August 31. All items are while supplies last.
Each month my team leader gives us three colors to work with when creating our project. We can not use any other colors other than black ink when designing. Color challenges are so fun and they really get my creative juices flowing! As soon as I saw these colors I immediately thought about the Hippest Hippos stamp set! The only problem was I could’t use gray to color the hippos so I had to get creative! I decided to use Coastal Cabana ink and a blending brush to give the hippos some color! What do you think? Originally I added Basic Black cardstock to my card but then I realized that I could only use black ink and not the paper. (You can see this card below.) I thought the black might help the colors pop more but when I redesigned the card using only white I think I like it even better. Which is your favorite?
