Butterfly Inspirations Blog Hop logo and graphic for the Red, White, and Blue themed June blog hop.

Welcome to the very first Butterfly Inspirations Blog Hop! I’m so excited to be joining this talented group of creative ladies as we share projects inspired by this month’s theme: Red, White, and Blue.

With our nation’s 250th birthday celebration just around the corner in July 2026, this theme felt especially meaningful to me. Patriotism has always held a special place in my heart. My dad proudly served in the Army, my husband served in the Air Force, and my oldest son is currently a Marine. When I sat down to create for this hop, I knew I wanted to make a card that honored those who have served and continue to serve our country.

Be sure to visit all of the talented designers participating in today’s hop! Each of us has created a unique project inspired by the Red, White, and Blue theme, and I know you’ll find plenty of inspiration along the way.

Patriotic thank you card featuring the Service Essentials Bundle with Real Red, Basic White, Secret Sea, and Misty Moonlight cardstock.

For today’s card, I reached for the Service Essentials Bundle to create a patriotic thank-you card. I paired Real Red, Basic White, Secret Sea, and Misty Moonlight with a striped pattern from Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper to create my red, white, and blue color palette. The silver foil dog tag adds a fun focal point, while a star cut from Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper brings just a little bit of sparkle. I love how these simple elements came together to create a meaningful card for honoring those who have served.
