Welcome to Day 7 of the Twelve Days of Christmas! Today, I’m thrilled to share a stunning yet simple Christmas card design. This card features the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder, which creates an elegant centerpiece on its own—but paired with Silver Foil, it truly shines and steals the show!

This card was a breeze to put together! I’ve included a quick Card Recipe below with cutting instructions so you can recreate this design or craft something similar using your own supplies. To complete the look, I added a coordinating touch to the envelope by adhering a piece of the same Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the flap.

Cutting Instructions:

  • Basic White Thick (card base) 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP) (layer) 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
  • Night of Navy (layer) 3-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
  • Silver Foil (image layer) 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
  • Basic White (strip) 1/2″ x 4-1/2″

Card Recipe:

  • Cut and fold the Basic White cardstock to create your card base.
  • Attach the Designer Series Paper (DSP) layer to the front of the card.
  • Emboss the Silver Foil layer using the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Layer the embossed Silver Foil onto the Night of Navy cardstock and adhere them together.
  • Stamp your chosen sentiment onto the Basic White strip using Night of Navy ink.
  • Wrap blue linen thread around the left side of the sentiment strip and tie it into a decorative bow.
  • Attach the sentiment strip to the foil layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Wrap the ends of the strip behind the foil layer and secure with adhesive.
  • Adhere the completed focal layer to the card front to finish your design.
