This week I have been featuring cards using the Decorative Borders stamp set. To be honest I wasn’t really sure what to do with this set! I went over to Pinterest to try to get my creative juices flowing! I ended up having a lot of fun using all the different images in this set.
The inspiration for the card that I’m sharing with you today came from the mini catalog! Here is a picture of the images from the stamp set and pictures of the card samples from the catalog:

As you can see, even though I got my inspiration from these cards, my card is quite different. I used different colors and my layout is a lot different as well. What do you think?

I started with a Thick Basic White base. I stamped the leaves using Bermuda Bay ink onto a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock. Then I stamped the Just a Note sentiment using Daffodil Delight onto a 3 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ piece of Daffodil delight cardstock. Those are glued together and white baker’s twine is wrapped around twice. I added a bow on top with a glue dot.
The image was stamped in Memento black ink and colored using Stampin’ Blends in Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, and Melon Mambo. I “fussy” cut the top part of the image and glued this piece on the front of the card as shown.
More Card Inspiration:
Here are some more cards I made this week. I hope you enjoy them and that they inspire you to make your own!
