I’m so excited to share this month’s color challenge with you! If you have been following me, you know that I love to do these monthly challenges from my team leader as often as I can. They are so much fun and really do challenge me! The colors for May’s challenge are: Magenta Madness, Calypso Coral, and Mango Melody.
Getting started with a color challenge is not always easy. I like to get out the paper, ink pads, and markers that I have in those colors then I look at my stamp sets and pick one or two that I think will work. Next comes the fun part of creating! Sometimes the first stamp set I choose works and it all comes together very nicely. Other times, I try multiple stamp sets before I find the one I think works best!
This card came together pretty quickly because as soon as I saw the colors, I knew that I wanted to use the In Bloom Bundle! I did have a back up stamp set just in case. 😉
I LOVE the In Bloom Bundle! The images and sentiments in the stamp set are so versatile and the dies have a cool piercing on the images that gives them a great texture! If you love it as much as I do, you will want to purchase the bundle soon. Now through June 30, you can still get this stamp set and dies as a bundle and save 10%. After that date these items will be sold separately without the discount. Below you will find all the products I used to create this card including the bundle. Just click right on the image and you will be taken to my online store where you can purchase.
To make this card, I die cut several flowers in all three colors. I also die cut black centers and a white label. After randomly gluing the flower pieces down, I turned it over and cut off any flower petals that went past the edge. I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the front and used tape to secure it on the back and tied another piece of ribbon in a bow. Next, I stamped the sentiment in Magenta Madness onto the label and used dimensionals to adhere over the ribbon. I used a glue dot to attach the bow right beside the label. As you can see in the pics below, I did some more stamping to the inside of the card and on the flap of the envelope.
I hope you enjoyed my May Color Challenge card. I would love for you to play along and post your card or project in the comments. As always, please contact me by email if you have any questions about this project or any Stampin’ Up! products. 💜Tonya
