This month I actually have two color challenge cards to share with you!! The colors for this month’s challenge were Soft Succulent, Mint Macaron, and Rich Razzleberry. I don’t know that I would have put all three of these colors together on my own (especially the two greens) but I just love them together now!! This is one of the reasons I enjoy doing color challenges so much!

The first card I made was this leaf card. I recently ordered the Soft Seedlings stamp set and have been wanting to play with it ever since! I  thought the color challenge colors would really show off the changes in color these leaves make during the Autumn season. What do you think?

For the stamped image, I used sponge daubers to apply all three ink colors to the stamp and then spritzed the stamp with water very lightly before I stamped onto the Very Vanilla cardstock. I thought it turned out pretty cool! So fun!!

Over on my Facebook and Instagram pages this week, I have been featuring the Good Feelings stamp set. There are so many ideas for this set. Go check out what I did with these awesome sentiments. I decided that I wanted to use the color challenges colors to make a card using this set too! This particular sentiment is great for many different occasions…new house, new job or promotion, new baby, or any other exciting news!

To make this card, I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″  piece of Thick Basic White, scored at 4 1/4″, to make the base. I took 1/4″ strips of all three colors and starting in the middle, I glued them down at a slight slant and in a pattern until the whole sheet was covered. I used the Deckled Rectangles Dies to cut out that sheet as well as a piece of vellum and Basic White (for the sentiment).

The product list below contains all products used for both cards.
