October Color Challenge Inspiration

This month’s color challenge had me stumped! At first, I thought the colors were just for Halloween. Since I don’t usually make or send Halloween cards, I decided to think outside the box. That’s when I realized that they’re perfect for flowers too! I pulled out my Layers of Beauty Bundle and had so much creating that I ened up with not one, but two cards for the challenge.

Two Ways to Use the Layers of Beauty Bundle

For both cards, I brought the flowers to life using the decorative masks with Gorgeous Grape, Pumkin Pie, and Granny Apple Green inks. On the card to the left, I added a crisp black outline before blending, then die-cut the image for a bold, defined look. For the card on the right, I skipped the outline and die-cutting, letting the soft blending from the masks and brushes shine on its own. It’s amazing how the same colors can create two completely different feels! Which style do you find yourself drawn to?

Supplies Used to Make These Cards
