For today’s Layers of Beauty card, I used VersaMark ink and white embossing powder for the flower and sentiment. The black and white theme gives this card a very classic look and can really be used for multiple oaccasions but I chose to make it a sympathy card. The measurements, instructions, and supply list can be found below.

This card starts with a Basic White Thick card base. The first layer is a piece of Pebbled Path cardstock that was centered and adhered to the front of the card. For the flower image, rub the Embossing Buddy over a piece of Basic Black cardstock to ensure the embossing powder stays only where you want it. Then, stamp the flower using VersaMark ink, apply white embossing powder to the ink, and then heat-set using the heat tool. Cut out the flower image using the die.

For the sentiment, you will repeat the heat embossing steps above on another piece of Basic Black. Before stamping the sentiment, place the flower image about where you want it to be. This will help you find the proper placement for the sentiment. Once the sentiment is heat embossed, adhere the flower image to Basic Black layer. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to center and adhere to the card front. Embellish the card with Clear Ribbon Adhesive-backed Dots.
