“Rainy Days” are always better with friends!

I have had a lot of fun this past week creating cards with the Playing in the Rain stamp set and dies! And I just love the Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper! Some of the sheets make great backgrounds and the animals are just so adorable!! The colors that coordinate with this DSP are Cajun Craze, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, Basic Black Balmy Blue, and Old Olive.

The card I’m sharing with you today features 2 different sheets from the DSP pack. I just love how it turned out. It’s probably my favorite of all of the cards I made. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you probably have seen a few of them already. If not, you’ll find the other cards I made at the end of this post. Let me know which is your favorite.

Check out how the rain shimmers in this DSP! The puddles and the rabbit’s shirts do too. There are several other sheets in this pack that have that shimmer effect too!

Simple Card Recipe with Measurements:

  • Card base: Balmy Blue (4 1/4″ x 11″, scored & folded at 5 1/2″)
  • Basic white: 4″ x 5 1/4″; glue to inside of card
  • Basic Black layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • DSP layer: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″; glue to black layer and then to front of card base
  • Both rabbits were die cut and the puddles were “fussy” cut from the DSP then glued to the rain background as shown
  • Basic Black strip: 3/4″ x 2 1/2″; stamp saying with VersaMark ink and heat emboss using white embossing powder
  • Use Banner punch to make “flag”; glue to card as shown
  • Add pastel sequins as shown or anywhere you like 😉
